What factors are most important to you in deciding on a college?
The most important factor when deciding on a college is the degree plans that each university offers. This is important because when choosing a college, you want to make sure that your intended major of study is offered at that certain university. Campus environment is another important factor because it is important for its students to feel comfortable and peaceful. Factors such as climate, population, and extracurricular activities may also be important when deciding on a college. Last but not least, the tuition of the college is very important because as a student you may want to find the university that best fits your financial status.
Have you thought of a college you would like to attend yet? If so, where?
Yes. The University of Texas at El Paso.
Have you decided on a major? If so, what?
Yes. Education.
Why are you interested in this major?
I am interested in this major because teachers have always been significant role models in the lives of individuals, especially mine. Education is a career that will allow me to interact with the community and change people's lives; this profession will make me a lifetime community server. Teaching will not only be a profession for me, but a vocation as well. Knowing that one day I will be able to help students and maybe make a difference in their lives, motivates me to continue working hard toward my educational career goals. By becoming a teacher I will be able to push students to discover a vocation that will help them succeed in today's society. I will also have the power to influence them in becoming community leaders and person's of good character.

I am a self-motivated young lady who strives for the best and goes beyond her self expectations. I am able to balance my sports, academics, and still help my community. I am a very compassionate and dedicated young lady. My life philosophy is to always push yourself to the limits of what's possible to achieve the so-called impossible. My main goal is to have new experiences that can enrich my character, making me a successful and capable person. I plan on earning a bachelor's degree in education to later pursue a master's degree and finally a doctorate.
